Scope Of Work
VPC replaced vulnerable cable in downtown Berkeley, some which dated back to the 1930’s. Crews doubled up to complete the first section at Cal Berkley along Bancroft Way and Berkeley High School on Milvia Street prior to fall classes resumed. Approximately 3,000 LF of trench was installed along with 12 #7 vaults and additional 6” ducts for future circuit replacements. This upgrade improves the capacity and reliability of power and decrease the number of power outages in downtown Berkeley, the university, and surrounding neighborhoods.
