Description

The Port Authority of NY / NJ has begun a new project at Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A. After 45 years, Terminal A is being replaced by Terminal One to accommodate the increasing and evolving air traffic demands.

The new terminal will be situated on a new site on the Airport property with approximately 33 new gates and as large as 1 million sq. feet. It will also host a larger parking space and a new walkway to connect with the AirTrain. It is expected the number of passengers will double in size.

CBA Elevator Consultants, LLC is the lead vertical consultant for the new installation of the 27 elevators, 17 escalators and 2 moving walks. Their services include schematic design drawings, specification to adhere to the PANYNJ Performance Criteria, APTA, and IATA level of service performance. The scheduled completion date is 2022. Services also include: specifications for new installation, full elevator service maintenance contract, shop drawings review, construction administration services, and project close-out
