Service: Modernization of 7 elevators.

Description

Located at Flatbush Avenue and Eastern Parkway on Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, Central Library is the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.

The library’s infrastructure is failing, where many machinery such as their elevators, escalators and electrical systems are in need of repair or replacement. The first phase of reconstruction in April 2018 began with upgrading the elevators, restrooms and HVAC systems, costing $35 million.

CBA is working with Greenman Pederson Inc. and providing consulting services for the modernization of 7 existing elevators within BPL. Services include: specifications for modernization, full elevator service maintenance contract, shop drawings review, construction administration services, and project close-out.
