Scope Of Work
The Zulu lounge at West Point’s Thayer Hotel was corroding and in need of restoration. It was decided that an EPDM roof had to be installed. The challenge was not just that the the damage was extensive, but also that the new lounge needed to guard against foot traffic. AAR scrubbed down the entire deck, disposed of all excess grit, and put down a double layer of specialized silicon deck coating. Both the gate and the roof also required sealers, coatings, and waterproofing material. Not only can the lounge now handle the large number of people passing through it each day, but the hotel itself is protected from outside elements while remaining aesthetically pleasing.
