R Blume Underground

We are a full service excavating and trenching contractor. If you need excavations, open trenching, or trenchless technologies, give us a call or email. We have a dedicated estimator at all times to get you a quote quickly! R Blume Underground (RBU) and R Streamline Design (RSD) are under the same ownership and management. We operate our own equipment, with our own qualified operators, from our own central and eastern Arizona yards.  We service the Phoenix Metro Area, Coconino and Yavapai County along with all of northern AZ, and eastern AZ from our Showlow location.

R Blume Underground Inc. offers a high quality experience. Our specialty is in utility scale dry utilities - but we always have time for a small (commercial) job. Emergency work is OK. We are big enough to have all the right equipment, and small enough to care about YOUR project.

We take a lot of pride in our boring expertise, with over 20 years of experience in auger jack and bore operations as well as in horizontal directional boring.

RBU and RSD can also provide consulting and planning for bore jobs to bring job costs down; saving on asphalt, concrete, back-fill materials and of course time. We also consult on soil conditions to verify if it would be conducive to bore or open cut projects. While boring is initially more costly than open trenching, we save customers money by reducing repairs and down time to their facilities. 

RBU has years of experience in safely working hand in hand with power companies, on outages, energized cables, manholes, transformers, and poles.  Our company policy is to pothole everything top to bottom, then record depths prior to digging or boring. We have a safety program as well as a quality assurance program to ensure the safety of our staff as well as the quality of our work. Our record is outstanding and safety is our 1# priority on all job sites; we are currently a preferred provider for Arizona Public Service. We aren't the big flashy contractors, we are the guys who help keep the lights on by working in the background and getting the job done.
