Scope Of Work

TEAM Construction completed a 21,600 SF, two story Fire Station and Fire Department headquarters for the City of Coos Bay, Oregon. The project was built as an “essential services” facility designed to withstand a severe earthquake and remain fully operational.  Structural elements included 114 auger cast concrete piles drilled to 30 feet deep, structural concrete slab, steel and wood framed structure with brick veneer, and metal roofing.  The project included living quarters for fire crews with full kitchen and exercise rooms, fire department offices, fire apparatus bays, and a community meeting room open to public use.   Other project elements included a 230kW generator, a storm water detention tank for filling the fire pumper trucks and for use in the landscape irrigation system, a secure server room for the City’s computer networks, a clock tower, and a Wi-Fi transmitter for the City’s free public wireless network. The project received a LEED gold designation.
