Scope Of Work

J&S      Biomass Innovation Park for Genera Biomass, LLC. Tennessee’s Biomass Innovation Park, operated by Genera   located  Vonore, Tenn, is a 22-acre, one--a-kind campus which will integrate  optimize  entire biomass supply chain. Using  design-build approach to , J&S  worked closely with Genera  helping them design the facilities,  plans  helping meet their budget  . 

 park was designed to accommodate future expansion  introduce new technologies  equipment for processing biomass to meet  specifications  biorefineries  other downstream conversion processes. The campus serves as the foundation for all biomass feedstock used to create biofuels, biochemicals, bioproducts, biomaterials, biopower  bioenergy.

“ Biomass Innovation Park will be a first--kind research,   demonstration campus for  purpose  researching  optimizing receiving, storage, handling, pre-processing, transportation, and characterization  switchgrass  other types  biomass at  scale," said Dr. Kelly Tiller,   CEO  Genera . "Our goal is to demonstrate  improve  integrated biomass supply chain, between  farm gate   biorefinery gate. We believe  Biomass Innovation Park is a  step toward producing cellulosic biofuels competitively  sustainably  will be a foundation for developing a robust cellulosic biofuels industry in Tennessee  beyond."

 campus features a 6,400 square-foot  , a 7,500 square-foot  for switchgrass bale storage, an 1,800 square-foot  for on- equipment maintenance  storage, a 3,500 square-foot process  for conversion process demonstration, as well as associated  improvements. There are also two large storage silos  a large switchgrass reclaiming pit for receiving field chopped  as well as on- open storage for bales  switchgrass  several switchgrass demonstration plots.

 park was funded by a combination  state  federal funds  requires a set cost. Therefore, Genera  chose J&S  because  its skills   design-build method   to  this .
