Tecta America New England's Portland, ME crew recently completed repairs to rubber paver mats that protect the roof at the Naval Telecommunications Station in Cutler, ME. This area contains a large configuration of U.S. Navy radio antennas that vary between 800' and 1,000' high on a 10,000-acre peninsula that reaches into the Atlantic Ocean. Located approximately 20 miles from the Canada border, the land surrounding the telecommunications station is also a wildlife refuge. Several years ago Portland’s roofing techs re-roofed the two main buildings on the premises, and received a call back to repair heavy paver roof protection mats before winter had a firm grip on the coastal location.
