Scope Of Work

Skyline College Bldg 6 Student Union

This Design/Build two story state of the art facility is not only the focal point for Skyline College, but also for the surrounding community. In addition to meeting rooms, the building houses a Cyber Café, Bookstore, and indoor and outdoor dining areas served by a full service kitchen. The meeting rooms are eventually to be available for rent to the community. Plumbing systems included the kitchen, restrooms and storm drainage. This was part of a two building project which also included the Science Annex.

Skyline College Bldg 7A Science Annex

The Science Annex, part of the two building project, ran concurrently with the Student Union. Also a Design/Build, this three story annex to the existing Science Building brought it's own challenges, one of which was how to align the new to existing building. The labs with their island work stations created special problems for getting plumbing systems to them. Advanced coordination and detailing was required since all utilities would be feeding from the floor. Also many of the lab benches had sinks, which required loop venting.
