Renovations and Additions (New Haven, Connecticut) Founded in 191 1, the Neighborhood School of Music is one of the oldest community organizations in New Haven and one of the 10 largest community arts schools in the country; providing instruction in music, dance, and drama to people of all ages with all levels of ability. The school was expanded to include a new recital hall and consisted of a 30,000 sf renovation with a five-million-dollar capital investment project. The addition consisted of new preschool facilities and five new studios. The renovation included replacement of all mechanical systems and new finishes throughout. Construction was complete in a compressed schedule during a three-month summer shut-down
