Scope Of Work
The Kaiser Permanente Clairemont Mesa Medical Offices is a new four-story, 90,000-sq.-ft. center that replaces the aging facility scheduled to be demolished on the same lot. The low-rise wing houses a large pharmacy, lab, Vision Essentials retail store and optometry offices, two radiation suites, Café, and a conference center. The attached four-story tower features 101 exam rooms and 72 provider offices. The medical offices also offer wellness-oriented features like an indoor public square with a view garden, an outdoor amphitheater, a Thrive Path with exercise stations, and landscaped open space.
DPR Construction self-performed the concrete, acoustic ceiling tile installation, drywall, doors, specialties, and equipment installation. The main lobby features a dramatic wood ceiling with elliptical curves, a vertical return along two edges and an outdoor soffit at the front entrance. Nearly all the exterior and interior walls were prefabricated offsite by Digital Building Components.
