Scope Of Work
The University of Chicago selected Powers & Sons to serve as the General Contractor for the interior build-out of 150,000 square feet of office space in the new Harper Court development. Powers & Sons built-out ten (10) floors for the University with an aggressive schedule. Harper Court is a 1.1 million square foot, mixed-use development located near the University’s campus in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. It features an office tower above 53,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. The University of Chicago occupies the entire office tower, thereby creating a gateway between the campus and surrounding Hyde Park neighborhood. The project was completed in 85 working days and received LEED-CI Platinum certification.
