Scope Of Work

Originally built in the early 1900s for the Institute of Paper Chemistry, these three structures totaling over 300,000 square feet were vacated in the 1990s leaving a huge hole in Appleton’s urban landscape and the potential for future blight in the city. Most developers at that time didn’t have the experience to renovate such a large campus or simply didn’t have the stomach to take on such a complicated project. Ganther and Larson Architects purchased the 13-acre campus and began the process of removing asbestos, mold and selective demolition. They kept the original architecture intact and repurposed the buildings into modern "Class A" office space. These buildings soon attracted several national tenants including Kimberly Clark Corporation, West Corporation and Principal Financial.
