Scott Smet is the 3rd generation of the Smet family to run the company which was originally founded in 1934. Scott began working full time for the company in 1983. In 1990 he and his brother Chad became partners in Smet with their father. In 1994 the brothers purchased the firm from their father with Scott being the President, the title he currently holds today.
Scott also graduated with a journeyman’s degree in Industrial and Commercial Construction in 1988. He obtained a Real Estate Broker’s license in 1989.
Scott grew up in the construction industry and worked as a carpenter in both framing & finishing, as an ironworker erecting steel, and as a carpenter framing and pouring concrete. Scott began working in the field as a laborer doing the items above and worked his way up to the CEO of Smet from the ground up.
Some of the contracts Scott has negotiated are: GE Projects, Southridge Office, Ashwaubenon Boardwalk, Prudential Financial and Waubee Lodge.
As the CEO of Smet Construction Services, Scott oversees daily business conduct and the polices and procedures of the firm.
