Scope Of Work
The Suquamish Fitness and Youth Center includes a 12,500 square foot day-lit gymnasium supporting two NCAA-sized basketball courts, an NBA-sized court, a volleyball court and seating for more than 200 spectators. Overlooking the gymnasium is the 4,000 square foot fitness room with an area for free weights, cardio equipment, resistance equipment and stretching. The Fitness wing also includes a racquetball court and group exercise room, and two exterior basketball courts and a tennis court are located directly outside the gymnasium. A large lounge area provides the perfect environment for a variety of events with the inclusion of a concessions kitchen connected to the exterior plaza.
The Youth Center wing serves kids and teens ages 5 to 18 years old. It features a dining room, serving kitchen, social and gathering spaces for younger kids and teens, an arts and crafts room and a multi-purpose room. Kids can participate in activities such as weaving, carving, painting, and various fitness, health and educational classes. The west plaza has a variety of natural play spaces for the kids to explore.
