Scope Of Work
Tropical Storm Allison struck on June 8, 2001, with little warning, drenching the Houston area with torrential rains that resulted in widespread flooding. The renowned Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world, was severely damaged by the flood waters. Preliminary damage estimates were projected to be substantial.
On June 10th W. Michael Bell was asked to lead the remediation effort on the Memorial Herman Professional Building and Parking Garage. Emergency plans were established and priority lists were released by the Texas Medical Center. Under the direction of Mr. Bell and with the help of top quality sub contractors, The Memorial Herman Professional Building and Parking Garage were reopened ahead of schedule.
The damage was repaired and the facility resumed full operations within six weeks following the storm. Mr. Bell accomplished this incredible feat while logging 636 personal hours on site. He received a letter of appreciation for his outstanding performance from Phillip Stafford, Mack Haik Healthcare LTD, Project Director for the Texas Medical Center.
