Scope Of Work
Atlantic Housing hired Sherman Construction to provide preconstruction and construction services for 330,000 square feet 336-unit apartment complex, located in Goose Creek, SC. This project consisted of 14 garden style apartment buildings, with 24 units per building located on 20 acres. These buildings were designed as 3 story wood framed with shingle roof and exterior stairs. Amenities included a leasing office, playground and swimming pool.
This 336-unit project was the largest Work-Force Housing Complex in the state of South Carolina when it was completed, surpassing the Waters at Magnolia Bay that was completed by Sherman Construction earlier the same year. The design team was Hatch + Ulland Owen Architects, based out of Austin, Texas. This was Sherman Constructions second project with Atlantic Housing Foundation.
