The William Floyd School District is one of the fastest growing districts on Long Island. Aurora was the prime General Contractor for the middle school project. The project's scope of work was to construct a 189,000 SF middle school on a 56-acre site. The site consisted of a quarter mile track, a football field with bleachers and various other ball fields.
The building was designed with a center circular hub from which each of the three “wings” of the school extended. An elaborate epoxy terrazzo floor is the signature design element that punctuates the center of the school.
Aurora’s expertise in construction methods and coordination turned an aggressive schedule into reality. The project was completed on time and within budget.
