Scope Of Work
The Owner required a new plant which consisted of an actual Mine, Wash Plants, Storage, Truck Shipping facilities, Rail Loading facilities, Office Buildings, Maintenance Buildings, Conveying, Scales, Waste Ponds, and Infrastructure. Having previous experience with our Design/Build capability, the Owner turned to CR Meyer to complete the facility in an extremely condensed time frame. The Owner’s intended goal required Fast Tracking the Engineering and Construction Work in an orderly sequence that brought the project to final completion on schedule.
The site required hundreds of thousands of yards of fill, which in turn required coordination of placement to support completion of the structures, construction of the railroad, and management of site traffic. Also, due to the Fast Track Schedule, there was a constant stacking of trades in the various areas. In order to keep everyone working efficiently, a great deal of planning and coordination had to be done.
