Scope Of Work
Nab’s project on the 1903 Williamsburg Bridge was to rebuild the BMT subway structure. In joint venture we installed 6,000 tons of steel - new box piers and stringers on the approach spans, new floor beams and stringers on the entire suspended span, and 300 bearings.
Earlier fast-track emergency repairs called for mobilizing over 100 ironworkers immediately upon award of contract and working seven days a week to complete repairs in eight weeks. We reopened the bridge two weeks early.
