Scope Of Work
This multi-family project involved constructing 43 new residential apartments, in conjunction with renovations to the historic Roslindale Electric Substation. The project encompasses 50,000 square-feet of renovations and new construction.
Cost: $15 million
Architect: Prellwitz Chilinski Associates
Originally built to house the transformers that powered the trolley system in this section of Boston, the Substation has been off-line for 50 years. Its reincarnation as restaurant and office space for the Roslindale Village Community Center marks a major victory in the effort to save what has become a cherished landmark.
This public-private partnership includes Historic Boston Inc., Roslindale Village Main Streets and the Boston Redevelopment Authority with HV Collins acting as the Construction Manager
