Scope Of Work
The Terminal B Consolidation Project at Logan Airport included the demolition of a former crash, fire, rescue (CFR) building, relocation of the ground support equipment (GSE) facility, pavement and hydrant fueling modifications, acquisition of passenger loading bridges (PLBs), and construction of the foundations for the passenger loading bridges. The Project also included a 65,000 square foot, two-level addition to the south end of Terminal B. The addition provided new holdrooms, concessions, operations, restrooms, and baggage handling space. This project combined US Airways’ Airways, Shuttle, Metrojet and Express operations at Terminal B to improve customer service, eliminate passenger confusion, and reduce aircraft taxi distances and times. The existing concourse facility remained in use during work and passenger safety and convenience was integrated into the entire construction process.
