Managing logistics and an ambitious schedule on a multi-story tensioned deck.
There was a great deal at stake when Grand River Construction was chosen to build this six-story post-tensioned parking deck. It would support four different building structures and required a great deal of coordination with the construction manager and steel installer––all under a demanding schedule. But Grand River Construction cast the concrete, successfully coordinating the placing of the concrete floors, and met the required quality standards, in just 12 months. As always, all this work was performed under the guidance and direction of GRC’s full time safety director.
