Scope Of Work
Project Profile: The new $900 million project encompasses a 19-acre campus with a seven story, 566,000-square-foot, 321 bed hospital; a three story; 38,000-square-foot, energy center; a three story, 55,000-square-foot hospital support building and a parking structure with 1,479 spaces. It is the first hospital in California built for Gold certification for healthcare facilities, under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.
Kelar Pacific Role: Working with the underground utility subcontractor, Kelar Pacific provided complete modeling for water, sewer, cold and hot, drains, site drainage and water retirement systems from LOD 200 to LOD 400 and as allowed LOD 500 (As-Build). Create coordination files and modify the models based on the clash report and coordination meetings as requested by Granite Construction Company team as subcontractor and Hensel Phelps as general contractor. Kelar Pacific team worked directly with the Granite and HP VDC team to optimize the coordination process by providing an accurate model and modifying as needed.
