CELERITY PARTNERING WITH OSHA, IUP & ABC
The Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter engaged in a partnership agreement with the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Allentown, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre Area Offices to further enhance knowledge and relationships with the construction safety process. Celerity, having joined this partnership, will have the tools to further reinforce our safety culture.
In addition, Celerity has enrolled with the PA/OSHA Consultation Program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). As IUP’s website states, this program is implemented to promote understanding and voluntarily compliance with applicable health and safety regulations enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The IUP consultation program will:
- Assist in identification and rectify potential hazards
- Improve awareness of safety hazards and concerns at construction sites, which leads to decreased injuries, illnesses and fatalities
- Offer professional advice of immediate problems
- Provide guidance in improving an effective safety and health program
- Promote and engage in training and education for Celerity and employees
