Scope Of Work

W. E. Bowman Construction, Inc. completed the courtyard improvements for a popular assisted living facility located in Petersburg, Virginia. This project transformed the infrequently used Charles Gillette garden courtyard into an outdoor living space. Care was taken by our landscape architect to maintain Gillette’s theme, but created a more accessible space for the residents.  The courtyard elevation was raised to door-level for ease of access for residents, with walkable pavers, drainage improvements, and added landscaping and irrigation. The dining room window was converted to 6-sectional French doors for visibility and easy access to the new Courtyard.
