Scope Of Work
DeIulis Brothers was retained as the construction manager during schematic design and worked with the owner and architect through design development leading to a GMP contract for the first phase of a multi-phase overhaul to three interconnected buildings. The front 1922 building was completely reimagined and made handicap accessible with the addition of an elevator that will also serve future phases. The main level, with its glass walled central corridor, hosts the check-in area, S.T.E.A.M. and Learning Centers, staff offices and board room. On the upper level, a brightly colored childcare center is equipped with classrooms, play areas, art and recreation tables and computer stations. A dedicated teen center is hosted on the lower level with a tech center, lounge area, gaming, fitness room and dance studio. Major building upgrades included all new fire protection, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, a new roof and new aluminum thermal windows. DeIulis Brothers used its own crews to install seismic bracing to stabilize the exterior terra cotta walls, reframe and level the uneven floors, and install the casework and custom cabinetry on the project.
