Association for Energy Affordability acted as NYSERDA Partner and providing energy consulting, energy modeling, project management and oversight.

Green Programs: NYSERDA-Multifamily Performance Program, Existing Buildings Component, HUD Weatherization & Low Income Tax Credits

This 3 building, 192 unit complex, built in 1968, was in need of HVAC, appliance and lighting upgrades. AEA recommended a comprehensive retrofit that was done with multiple funding sources:

• New heating plant and outdoor reset control
• Domestic hot water recirculation control
• Common area and in-unit lighting retrofits
• Fan modifications and seal A/C sleeves
• High-efficiency aerators and showerheads installed
• Refrigerator replacement and roof insulation

The post construction utility analysis revealed a total source energy reduction of 41%.
