Scope Of Work
Electrical maintenance and repairs have been on-going for more than 6 years, with the most recent being a 5-year contract beginning in the Fall of 2015. The scope of work is to maintain all electrical systems operating on 15KV, 480/277 and 208/120 volts. Specific tasks and responsibilities provided in support of the College include:
Work on the interior and exterior building lighting
Replacement of receptacles and switches
Repair and replacement of motion detection lighting systems
Maintenance and installation of lighting control systems for the lecture halls
Collaborating with the college's HVAC shop when troubleshooting motor controllers and transformers
Temporary and permanent electrical installation during renovations and upon request by departments
Maintenance of the buildings' electrical distribution panels
General support of power requirements of various campus event
Over the course of the current contract, Broadway Electric has overseen such publicly bid projects as Campuswide Fire Alarm Replacement, Medium Voltage Switchgear Replacement Phases 1 & 2, Cernan Center Solar Panel Installation Project, Emergency Call System upgrades, and modernization of the lighting systems to make them more energy sufficient.
