Scope Of Work

This library serves 66,000 residents and obviously needs to keep them comfortable as they take advantage of its diverse services. The project included renovating the existing library and a new addition, so it called upon OMS' strengths in both refurbishment and system creation.

After careful analysis and planning, we refurbished the existing air handling units and chiller in the existing building. Plus, we installed two 1500 MBH thermal solution boilers. Cooling is done by two 18,000 CFM air handlers and a 200-ton air cooled chiller.

The new air handling units employed hot and chilled water coils with variable frequency drives. The air distribution system was a VAV system with hot water reheat coils. Lastly, we installed a direct digital temperature control system.

The result of this renovation? 66,000 smiling Streamwood residents.
