Scope Of Work
Omega Construction has completed over 585,000 sf for Gildan Activewear located in Eden, NC over the last 5 years. Gildan continues to push the envelope with technology and improvements to their wholesale distribution facility and Omega Construction has been the go to design / build partner to assist them with their growth.
The latest expansion is a 220,000 sf expansion to the existing Eden Distribution Center that houses a state of the art pick module system improving the accuracy and response time for their valued customers. Gildan continues to realize the success utilizing Omega’s fast track design / build project delivery method. The project was completed in less than 6 months including site preparations. This project required over 100,000 cy of fill dirt to be imported before building construction could begin. Some of the building features include structural steel framing, 3” insulated metal wall panels, 60mil TPO roofing system and a 7” reinforced concrete slab on grade meeting Fmin 70 flatness criteria.
