McCord’s Vancouver Toyota is a 50,000 square foot Silver LEED certified auto dealership with the Toyota Image II design, located in Vancouver, WA. It is surrounded by 9 acres of pervious pavers which prevents any storm water run-off and also eliminates water pooling in the parking lot. This was the largest pervious paver site in the US when it was constructed. This project includes other innovative features including hot water pipes in the shop floor keeping the heat where it is needed, roof collection of rain water for washing vehicles, and an HVAC monitoring system to control the heating/air conditioning in each room 24/7 allowing for a reduction in energy costs – energy being used only when needed.
