Ahora Construction

I am the Founder and President of Ahora. I have held a long career in the carpenter’s union as a representative and organizer and served in leadership positions for many years prior to starting my own construction company. I oversee all aspects of Ahora from billing and bidding, to operations, to safety, and even putting on my tools to train and mentor new carpenters. It is my goal to create a positive environment for all Ahora staff, laborers, and carpenters and to ensure all jobs run smoothly.
How do you enjoy spending your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with my two children, ages 16 and 23. I also serve as an advocate in my community and seek to create an inclusive environment which celebrates diversity in my hometown of Burien.
 

What is your role at Ahora?
I began my career in construction working for a large contractor during my senior year of high school in 2014. After graduating from the apprentice program and from university with my BA in Business Management in 2019, I decided it was time to transition from the large contractor to working for my family’s construction company. As a Project Manager and Estimator for Ahora, I oversee jobs from start to finish and make it my priority to maintain organization and efficiency.
How do you enjoy spending your free time?
I enjoy reading and learning about new topics whenever I can. I also enjoy being involved with my union where I hold a leadership role.

I work in a support staff role with Ahora. My daily activities include bookkeeping, communicating with contractors, and maintaining the integrity of our daily processes.
How do you enjoy spending your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy baking, camping, and spending time with my six siblings.
