The 4.7 million SF Subaru of Indiana Automotive receives more than 800 semi-trucks carrying production parts each day. In order to minimize the cost of inventory and the space required under roof to store SIA operates with a “Just in Time” parts delivery system. As production rates ramped up transport carriers arriving on site were experiencing extended wait times to check in and drop their loads. A new modular Transportation Logistics Office and additional roads were installed on site in 2019 to improve the efficiency of the parts delivery process. VESTA worked with SIA at the project inception to design and specify the new modular building. The project was completed on time and under budget.
