Scope Of Work
T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) was selected to provide structural design services for a new parking garage as part of mixed-use development project. The project was for the City of Ithaca, New York, and was progressed using the Construction Manager at Risk delivery system.
TYLI’s responsibilities included the structural design of a 1,400-space, cast-in-place, post-tensioned parking structure. A complete seismic analysis was incorporated in the lateral force restraint system design.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
TYLI provided conceptual and final site design for the development.
The project included relocation of the regional transit facility to the ground level of the new garage.
TYLI used a 3D STAAD model to identify the structure's response to a seismic event and determine loadings generated by an earthquake.
