Scope Of Work

Kane County Hospital serves rural Southern Utah and Northern Arizona including the communities of Kanab, Fredonia, Orderville, and Duck Creek. Aside from an emergency department, operating room suites, and a pharmacy, Kane County Hospital also contains a long-term care facility. The emergency room alone sees 300 to 500 people a month.

As the community experiences growth, plans were put forth in motion to expand the hospital. The $12 million project will increase the sizes and services of the emergency room, surgery recovery, and the pharmacy. The security infrastructure will also be upgraded. The hospital’s lab, imaging department, and waiting areas will also be remodeled during the project. The hospital will remain open during construction. Big-D Construction will perform the expansion in phases to ensure there is minimal disruptions to patients and staff.
