Our Story

Eco-Earth Works, LLC specializes in Commercial and Residential excavation serving the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex.

With decades of experience on projects ranging from less than an acre to large retail developments, we complete all work to the highest standards. Our success is due to using only the best and most reliable equipment to get the job done right and on time!

Our in-house engineering and surveying ensures accurate and quick work from start to finish.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

The main outcome from pre-construction is a firm project scope, schedule, and cost estimate for the owner. The cost estimate depends on the level of accuracy needed by the client. The pre-construction process is useful to evaluate the constructability of the project and identify opportunities for value engineering.

BUILDING PAD PREPARATION

Site preparation includes everything you need to do to get the lot ready to build on. Which includes clearing of trees, rocks, underbrush, anything that may be in the way of your foundation. Ditches or depressions may need to be filled or high spots leveled. A “pad” is a raised area of ground that has been compacted (by weight of bulldozer) and is ready to receive the foundation.

GENERAL EXCAVATION

Once a pavement base material is rough placed, the next step is to fine grade the top inch or two to set the stage for the finish pavement grades to be brought to correct elevations. Ideally the rough aggregate base will be brought to +/- 1?. The scope of the fine grading work will be to either cut or fill the material to match as close as possible to the finish pavement elevations, less the thickness of the proposed pavements. Finish grading work is most commonly done with a grader and a roller following behind.

FINE GRADING

Once a pavement base material is rough placed, the next step is to fine grade the top inch or two to set the stage for the finish pavement.

TRENCHING & BACKFILLING

Backfilling is the process of putting soil back inside a trench or in a foundation when the excavation has been completed. The backfill process requires skill and knowledge on the specifications, contract requirements and soil conditions. Backfilling is used in tasks such as protecting foundations, landscaping or filling in voids in underground structures. Every soil has unique characteristics requiring different construction techniques to ensure optimum performance.

ROAD WORK

We help build new roads and maintain existing ones by re-surfacing, repairing potholes and cracks, widening roads or digging access trenches for laying cables and pipes used to supply gas, water or telecommunications. We also maintain roadside verges and central reservations. Heavy jobs involve a range of specialized machinery such as pneumatic drills, 360-degree excavators and rollers. We also mix and spread materials (such as aggregate, tarmac and concrete) build or repair pavements, lay curbs, lay down road markings, and erect fences, barriers, and road signs.

SOIL STABILIZATION & MOISTURE CONDITIONING

Includes stabilization of paving or building sub-grades with either lime or cement. Generally, cement is used for sandy soils with plasticity indices below 20. Lime is used for soils with a higher clay content and a “PI” above 20. The chemical is mixed with the upper 6-8 inches and greatly improves the soil’s bearing potential.

DEMOLITION

Includes removal and legal disposal of buildings, signs, fences, concrete/asphalt paving, etc.

CLEAN UP & HAUL OFF

A clean site contributes to overall satisfaction with your construction project. Our construction clean-up services are available for a variety of construction projects, including ground-up construction, upgrades and new additions, corporate modifications, remodels and restorations, tenant finishes, and preparation for builders.

EROSION CONTROL

In conjunction with our commitment to protecting the local environment, we meet all EPA standards in place for environmental protection. We follow all best management practices (BMPs) to keep the soils intact to prevent erosion during our work by installing silt fences, construction entrances, and hydro-mulching as necessary. Protecting local water quality is part of our job.

LAND CLEARING

Includes removal of trees, stumps, and root balls. Trees are generally hauled off site, but can also be ground into mulch and left on site or even stockpiled for burning in rural areas.

POND & RETENTION EXCAVATION

Includes construction of ponds or small lakes per engineer’s plans as well as providing “design build” services. We can survey your property, design your pond and provide 3-D renderings and aerial imagery overlays so you know exactly what to expect.
