Scope Of Work
Alive Telecom designed and managed installation of 10 Channel Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to support Chicago Fire and Police Communications for the entire Lower Wacker Drive Tunnel in Chicago. The system layout consisted of two bi-directional amplifiers over 14k feet of coax, 9k feet of fiber, 6k feet of radiating cable and 42 antennas. Alive Telecom designed and manufactured UHF omni and directional antennas specifically for the project requirements. Once testing was completed with the Office of Emergency Management and Communications, we achieved 99% coverage for CFD and 98% coverage for CPD surpassing our requirement of 95%.
