Scope Of Work
Robins & Morton was charged with transforming a 1950s-era, two-story concrete building into an aesthetically appealing, energy efficient, modern structure that is home to one of the U.S. Army’s largest and most technologically-advanced dental facilities. The fully renovated, 64-chair Love Dental Clinic at Fort Benning, Georgia, is a 39,734-square-foot facility that features a built-in Sterisil System, a technologically advanced water sterilization system that provides distilled quality water safe for dental procedures and drinking.
It is the first of its kind to be deployed in any U.S. Army dental clinic and represents an incredibly significant advancement in clinical operations for the Army Dental Corps. Robins & Morton created temporary transitional space and successfully relocated the entire clinic so operations could resume unimpeded during construction. The contractor completed the project with no safety incidents and satisfied the requirements of multiple stakeholders for speed of delivery, cost, and functionality for the end users –medical staff and patients. In 2014, this project was awarded first place in the Federal Government/Military Under $10 to $25 Million category for Excellence in Construction by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Alabama.
