Project Overview
For their corporate headquarters, Centier's leadership wanted an iconic building to symbolize its commitment to remaining an independent, family-owned bank. The building's design is a reflection of this goal. Its curved blue glass facade and crowning “circlet” is lit at night and patterned after structures in Asia. The interior is equally ambitious with fountains and landscaping in the lobby and high-end finishes, millwork and artwork throughout.
Approach
The building's shape resembles two overlapping circles. Establishing consistent radius points from floor-to-floor proved challenging but critical as the center came from within the elevator shaft. The curved curtainwall system that clads the circles required early and detail-oriented planning for a precise layout.
From the curtainwall to the finishes, Berglund implemented stringent quality control checks to ensure proper installation of all high-end building components. The building is equipped with state-of-the-art AV systems and cutting-edge technology. Additionally, sustainable heating and cooling systems were utilized and are aided by the use of natural lighting and greenery.
