Walaschek Asphalt Services, Inc.

Walaschek Asphalt Services, Inc have been serving the parking lot and driveway needs of business and home owners in Florida for over 35 years. It is a third generation, family business that was founded in 1968 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. John’s son, Gary Walaschek joined his father in business in 1970 and Gary’s son Jesse Walaschek joined the business in 2005 and is now running its day to day operations. The history of Walaschek Asphalt Services, Inc is an interesting story that really begins with John’s move of the business to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1970. John, who was a smart, hard working asphalt contractor, enjoyed his work but did not like having to slow down his business during the cold, Pennsylvania winters. So in 1970 John moved he and his business to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he could work year round in the Florida sunshine.

It wasn’t long after his move to Florida that John started experimenting with better ways to coat and seal asphalt for improved care and maintenance and longer term use. He believed that the various products and techniques for sealing and coating asphalt were really not that good. They did not last as long as they should and really didn’t address the cracking and deterioration issues that naturally occur with asphalt.
