Scope Of Work
The Tarrant County College Energy Technology Center (ETC) houses a heating, ventilation, air conditioning refrigeration (HVACR) study program, as well as training programs for oil, gas renewable energy technologies. The building itself is a teaching tool that allows observation of its inner workings mechanics. Plumbing, electrical, mechanical structural components are openly visible in strategic locations, giving students visitors an opportunity to learn from the building systems on a daily basis. The project also included masonry zinc façade on a structural steel frame, a tunnel under the building connection to existing campus utilities. The facility was designed constructed utilizing sustainable practices, resulting in the Energy Technology Center achieving LEED Platinum certification.
