Scope Of Work
Steelcase contracted with Metro TechSolutions to upgrade and extend the existing structured cabling system, install a new camera system, and install 30 new access points at their 115,000 sq ft retail distribution center in DeSoto, TX. The structured cabling system was extended over single mode fiber from the MDF to a new IDF cabinet in the warehouse installed by Metro TechSolutions. The camera system was complete with nine separate DVRs located througout the warehouse and 67 cameras to be custom-mounted from the rafters of the warehouse so as not to interfere with operations or the large area fans overhead. The wireless access points were also custom-mounted from the rafters of the warehouse so as not to interfere with operations or the large area fans overhead. The access points were labeled so as to be visible from the floor. Steelcase continues to use the expert technicians at Metro TechSolutions for on-going service and installation at all their north Texas facilities.
