David McBride CGR, CGB, CGP, CAPS is the owner and founder of McBride Construction, Inc. He has been a licensed and insured general contractor in the state of Michigan for over 30 years. He takes pride in bringing together high quality craftsmanship and professional project management to create high quality remodeling projects.

David is the former Building Committtee Chair for Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, an active member of Little Traverse Association of Home Builders and Remodelers Council, and is very active in other civic and charitable organizations throughout the community.

Chris Ewing has been estimating and selling landscape jobs for the past 20 years, both through his own business downstate and managing the landscape on Mackinac Island. Chris inherited his love of building and creating beautiful spaces from his dad, a builder in Lansing for 30 years. He brings high standards and a client-focused work ethic to his role at McBride Remodeling.

Chris loves all things sports, spending time with his wife and son, and everything building. “Clients all have dreams of what they want their homes to look like — it’s my job to help make those dreams become reality.”

Curt brings more than 30 years of experience and remodeling know-how to his job as project coordinator. He has a proven track record of effectively ordering and scheduling materials and installations for projects to keep them on time and on budget.? 

When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors picking blackberries, camping with his family, and deer hunting on Drummond Island. 

Jason is the Production Manager for McBride Construction, Inc. and has more than 15 years of experience as a commercial development Superintendent. Jason has worked in markets around the country including North Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Connecticut and most recently, Boston, Massachusetts.

With his philosophy of delivering exceptional service and the highest quality craftsmanship, Jason is a great addition to the McBride team.

As a Michigan native, Jason is thrilled to be home. In his spare time he can be found outdoors with his wife Stephanie and daughter Ava touring the lakes in their restored 1955 Lyman, ice-fishing or snowboarding.

Jay, a Petoskey native, is the General Manager for McBride Remodeling. Jay started his career in residential construction and ran his own company in Petoskey for more than 12 years. He continued his career in Wyoming and South Carolina before returning to Michigan.

With his customer-centric philosophy, Jay is a natural fit with McBride Remodeling. He believes in honesty and makes sure that projects are completed on time while never sacrificing quality.

Jay enjoys fishing, hiking, camping and spending time with his wife and sons.

With his background in property restoration, Nathan will be able to assist our clients through any maintenance projects. This Michigan native recently moved to Petoskey to experience our incredible area, where he’s eager to enjoy his favorite pastimes of hiking, kayaking, fishing, and skiing.

Nathan prides himself on his customer service, quality of work, and ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.

Brandon joined McBride Remodeling In August of 2019.  He is a licensed carpenter with more than 30 years of experience. Prior to joining McBride, he was self-employed for 23 years. He has his First Aid and CPR Certifications.

When Brandon is not working, you will find him on a mountain bike trail enjoying the outdoors and in the winter time you will find him on the ski slopes boarding with his wife and children.

Jacob originally joined our team in June of 2016 as a seasonal carpenter helper. In 2018 he started working full time and has been shadowing our lead carpenters on various projects. Jacob has more 6 years of construction experience, successfully completed the building trades program at Petoskey High School, and graduated from the Industrial Arts Institute in the Construction program.

Jacob also volunteers as a member of the Tip of the Mitt QDMA to help promote better hunting practices in Northern Michigan.

Carpenter Jake Leestma’s background in architectural design means he doesn’t just craft functional spaces — he also understands what makes them beautiful. His diverse experience and knowledge in design ensures homeowners exceptional craftsmanship, with no detail overlooked.

Jake is a true outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, biking, and gardening. Above all else, Jake values time spent with his family, especially his niece and three nephews.

Julie joined the McBride team in November of 2018 as our administrative assistant. She has certifications in accounting and Excel from North Central Michigan College. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Julie strives to provide the best customer experience for clients from beginning to end.

Julie has been married to her husband, Joe, for more than 30 years. She enjoys traveling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, gardening and golfing in her spare time.

Prior to joining the staff at McBride Remodeling, Mike initially worked with us as a subcontractor. He brings more than 30 years of home remodeling experience to the team. His expertise in painting and wallpaper installation is a wonderful complement to our capabilities. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time on the lake with a fishing pole in hand.

Paul joined the McBride team in 2018 as our production coordinator and ascended quickly to the role of Lead Designer. He has over 4 years of experience in construction and over 23 years in architectural design, with a Bachelor of Science from U of M School of Architecture.

Believing that collaboration plays a key role in the design process, Paul enjoys working with the client to create a design that meets their needs. He partners with clients through the design process to ensure their expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

Paul serves on the board of trustees for the Harbor Springs Library, holds the position of committee chairman of Scouts Troop 55, and is also a Knights of Columbus member. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their three kids and volunteering for their various extracurricular activities.

Shaun joined the team in June of 2013. Shaun has been working in the construction field for more than 20 years in the Ashland, WI, Iron River, MI and Petoskey/Boyne City areas.

Shaun is Lead Safe Certified, a CertainTeed Certified Installer and is First Aid/CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association. He strives to exceed client expectations on every job with quality workmanship and job-site efficiency. Shaun also volunteers with the Boyne City Fire Department.

Stratt, as he prefers to be called, is a Grand Rapids native and joined McBride Remodeling in January 2021. He moved to Petoskey after graduating from Northern Michigan University in Marquette in 2015.  When he’s not working on a job site, you’ll find Stratt outside hunting or fishing, and spending time with his family.

Tom, a graduate of the Vinyl Siding Institute, is also Lead Safe Certified and CPR trained. Tom is a pivotal member of the team for more than 30 years.

Tom’s philosophy is to always do the best work possible. Work ethic is on the forefront of his mind and his level of craftsmanship and efficiency is second to none.

Yvonne, our accountant from Kammermann & Bascom PC is an integral part of the McBride Remodeling team. She brings more than twenty years of experience in the banking industry, 20 years as a small business owner, and over 20 years as an accountant.

Yvonne is also an Enrolled Agent (EA). An EA is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and is empowered by the U.S. Department of Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals.

Yvonne’s mission is to provide accurate accounting and tax preparation to individuals and small businesses in a timely manner with a high level of personal customer service.
