Scope Of Work
The New Orleans VA Hospital and Medical Center is a $1 billion, 33 acre campus and is home to (5) Hospital and Patient Treatment buildings, (2) Parking Structures, Administration building, a Research Building and the Central Energy Plant. Conti is responsible for the Central Energy Plant, Research Building, and Site Infrastructure.
The Research building is constructed on the site of the century old Dixie Brewery. The facade of the historic building will remain in place and become part of this 133,000 sq/ft research building. Multiple buildings under construction simultaneously and more than 1000 tradesmen on site requires intense coordination.
