Priorities were to keep a limited budget but utilize the space efficiently. They wanted to do something special but the budget was very limited so we added a custom color to the back panel of the island, so they achieved the look they were going for but didn't break the bank. Least favorite part is that we couldn't customize so we had to work with making the standard cabinets work so there were a lot of pipes to work around and the challenge was working around the pipes without customizing. It's an open concept apartment and the clients needed to balance everything with the kitchen so we needed to make it look like furniture.
