C. Laney and Sons is a family-owned company that provides comprehensive general contracting and design-build services to corporate, institutional, and developer clients throughout East Tennessee. With a large repertoire of means and methods, we pride ourselves on delivering superior facilities at the most competitive prices. From custom homes to historic landmarks, our company is widely known for highly specialized, multifaceted projects.

The story of C. Laney and Sons Construction begins with our founder, Charles “Chuck” Laney. For more than forty years, Charles worked as a successful local contractor while raising his three sons, James, Frank, and Luke, with his wife, Rosemary. Each Laney son would go on to study different subjects in college, from architecture to engineering, but ultimately found their common purpose in general contracting.

In 1995, Charles’ eldest son formally joined his business, and soon, the whole family followed. Today, C. Laney and Sons Construction employs a workforce of fifty, including project managers, superintendents, and staff members. Yet our company remains, at its heart, a tight-knit family.
