DescriptionCruz Construction recently purchased a HD70 drill to be used on a powerhouse retrofit project for the UAF in Fairbanks, AK. Project was latent with tight work areas, underground interferences and ground disruption concerns.
APE Designed a casing driver that was used to lock into the top of each pile, inside the casing driver a connection was built to connect a wide variety of drill tooling which can clear the pile as it is advanced.
Cruz used the HD system to install 24″ and 18′ casing from depths of 10′ to 25′, all while mitigating job site concerns and hazards.
