Scope Of Work
The $65 million, Kaiser Permanente Irwindale Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), Medical Office Building (MOB), and Campus Parking Structure project consists of two main components, an ambulatory surgery center/medical office building, and a parking structure. The three-story, 89,455 SF, Ambulatory Surgery Center, incorporates new models of care by using concepts from the Reimagining Ambulatory Care Design work (Project RAD), which leverages existing and new IT technologies, efficient space designs, and operational workflows to provide a high level of service and convenience that is meaningful to both members and the community. Additionally, the Irwindale Specialty ASC houses 38 provider offices, 58 exam rooms, podiatry, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, ambulatory surgery unit, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and a gastroenterology procedure lab.
The second component of the project is a five-level, 113,160 SF, parking structure with 328 parking stalls. An additional 102 parking spaces are provided in an onsite parking lot. Construction began on the new MOB and parking structure in June 2017 and received substantial completion in February 2019.
