Developing Phase Two of the region’s YMCA facilities became a challenging process. Preliminary concepts far surpassed the YMCA’s funding capacity. Enter: RSV. With an eye toward practical solutions, RSV helped build a gameplan that was both achievable and highly functional. It included engaging an early donor. Applying for New Market Tax Credits. Determining optimal pool design with area sports authorities. Negotiating better solutions with suppliers. Assuring a Type 1 site plan approval to protect funding. And managing the project to keep the YMCA fully operational during construction. The 15,000 square-foot expansion required weekly design team meetings and a complex phasing plan. Weekly conversations led to cost-effi cient solutions to a myriad of challenges.
